My fixies.

This is my main bike, a Peugeot Vagabond that I converted to a fixie commuter. I bought it at a yardsale for $25 and then stripped it down to bare essentials. I replaced the OEM BB with a BikeNashbar sealed bearing BB, dished the rear wheel and spaced the axle to line up the 17 tooth cog with the 52 tooth chainring on the stock cranks, added wide risers, PlanetBike fenders and my trusty old bound Brooks B17.

This is my backup fixie. It's an old Bianchi Classica I bought back in 1985 or so. It's newer than the car.

My SUB (sport utility bike)... a two wheeled truck of sorts.

This is my homebuilt version of the Xtracycle FreeRadical subframe concept. It's attached to an IronHorse MTB bitsa bike I cobbled together from various junked/disposed parts. Despite the long sagging chain, shifting was sure and true and the ride was very, very stable to say the least. There was no bunny-hopping this truck over traintracks or curbs. It was a very useful vehicle but I was looking more for a two-wheeled pedal-powered equivalent of a rally car rather than a truck for daily riding.

And here's a picture of my grand daughter and I on our way to the waterfront playground aboard my old Target special full suspension bike to which is attached a poorly designed but relatively expensive Schwinn Runabout.
